Aloha Faith Family Fellowship Ohana,
Go hard for God! Let us Reach-Disciple-Send. Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV) says, “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’”
Notice that the great commission, or the only commission given by the Lord, is not a suggestion or a multiple choice, but a command to all believers who have been blessed to experience God’s free gift of eternal life. He tells us not to stay and be comfortable, but to go into all the world, into the highways, the by-ways, into our get-togethers and gatherings with family and friends, into the marketplaces, workplaces and businesses. Let’s reach out to the lost—the unsaved—and compel them to come into a right and loving relationship with Jesus, the savior of their souls.
Recently, I sensed in my heart that the Lord was directing us, as a church, to start looking beyond these four walls and see what He sees: that the fields are ripe for the harvest. God’s precious fruit of the earth is ready for the picking. The question is, will you go? The prophet Isaiah heard a conversation that the Godhead was having in heaven: “Who will go for Us?” Isaiah immediately responded by saying, “Here I am Lord! Send me. I’ll go! I’m willing and available.”
Aren’t you glad that someone was willing to go for God on your behalf? I know I am. I am grateful that someone was willing and obedient to plant a seed in my life that resulted in my salvation in Christ Jesus.
During our intercessory prayer, the Lord said, “Will you please help Me? Will you please help Me!” What the Lord was saying is, “Will you go for Me? Will you go and tell them I love them? That I willingly laid down my life and died for their sins so that they could spend eternity with Me in heaven.”
Romans 10:13-15 in The Passion Translation states, “And it’s true: ‘Everyone who calls on the Lord’s name will experience new life.’ But how can people call on him for help if they’ve not yet believed? And how can they believe in one they’ve not yet heard of? And how can they hear the message of life if there is no one there to proclaim it? And how can the message be proclaimed if messengers have yet to be sent?”
By faith! Let us go hard for God, church family. Thrust in the sickle and reap, for the harvest is ripe and ready. Let that be our call for duty, because Jesus went hard for Father God on our behalf. Go hard for God!
