Aloha Faith Family Ohana,
 
As we advance and continue to make movement in this new year, we should have already made the necessary changes in our lives.  So that we don’t continue making the same mistakes into this new year.  We know that, insanity means doing the same things but expecting different results.  If we keep on thinking the same way, we’ll keep on getting into the same situations, same circumstances, same mistakes, facing the same problems we’ve made.  Now that is insane!  So therefore, change is essential and inevitable.
 
God expects us to make those necessary adjustments and changes because our Christian growth requires change.  2 Peter 3:18 says, “Grow in grace and knowledge,” which necessitates change.  In grace, which is God’s unmerited and undeserved favor, and knowledge, which is knowing who you are in Christ and Who Christ is in you, already put us in a position that facilitates the change that is needed.
 
God never changes but He continually challenges us for change in our lives.  He is constantly molding us into the image of Christ and the        vessels He wants us to be; holy and consecrated vessels.
 
What is the secret to change?  Lasting change?  The only true change is that which the Holy Spirit imparts and supplies the power to accomplish it because we’re still agents of free will.  It is our choice to respond and to cooperate with the Holy Spirit, and then we’ll see true lasting change in our lives that benefits us for the better.
 
Good change isn’t change, unless we change by submitting our hearts to the Word of God, and yielding our lives to the Holy Spirit.  The Word and the Spirit motivated by love.  We get ready for change by trusting God’s timing, embrace the growth, and by renewing our minds, by aligning our thoughts in agreement to what His word says.
 
Remember, good change isn’t change, unless we change.
